From Gaza to Hope: Evacuation Aid for 4 families in Gaza

Hi my name is Rana Elhag and this is my beautiful family. They live in Al-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza. They are standing in front of their neighborhood, which was once full of life. Gaza has never had much, but people were always busy building a the best future they could for themselves.

This is a fundraiser for 4 households, made up of 24 people. The bombardment of Gaza has annihilated everything around them.

It is hard to ask for help, and they love Gaza and the land and people they grew up with, but 6 months of heartbreak and apocalyptic disaster have led them to look into other options. There is no starting up life again even after the war is over because there are no institutions or basic infrastructure or roads or anything left in Gaza. All of the schools are destroyed. Universities have been leveled. Hospitals are no longer operational. They want to look towards a future where they can build themselves up just like anyone else.

When I talk to my cousins they say that this war has left a permanent scar in their minds and hearts. It has made us feel like we shouldn't have the audacity to dream anymore, because if we do it will be too painful. And so if they have a dream, what is step one? There is no step one because all institutions that make life worth living have been reduced to ashes.

The funds requested through this campaign are approximately the amount needed to just get these people across the Gaza border into Egypt.
