The Loaiza family came to the United States in 2023 seeking asylum. Since arriving, they have worked tirelessly to build a stable life here. They have worked hard to learn English, obtain legal work authorization, and become actively involved in their local community.

Originally from a farming background, the Loaiza family is known for being kind, humble, and incredibly hardworking. They are generous with what they have, often sharing food, warmth, and hospitality with those around them. Their values of family, honesty, and service are evident in everything they do.

Despite following every requirement of the asylum process, Marco and Felipe were unexpectedly detained during a routine ICE check-in. This has been devastating for their family and friends.

Their attorney is now preparing a legal petition to seek their release, but this comes with urgent and unexpected expenses. Funds raised here will go directly toward legal fees so the petition can be filed and Marco and Felipe can have the chance of returning home to their family.

Marco and Felipe are good-hearted, responsible men who live healthy, positive lives. They are active members of the YMCA and do not even drink or smoke! Marco, in particular, has made strong contributions to the community by earning his GED and ESL certificate, performing in a local theater production, and volunteering his time to help others.

They are facing difficult conditions in this detention center, often not having access to basic necessities and adequate food. Because of the detention, they are unable to work and support their family, making this time especially difficult. Any amount you are able to give will make a meaningful difference.
