Free Koda

Let me tell you about my best friend in the world, Koda. Raising her was the best thing I've ever done and anyone who knows me even a little will tell you that she is my pride & joy, my loyal adventure buddy, and my #1 priority in life. Our bond is strong, and she has been a source of light for me countless times since adopting her as an eight-week old nugget. Over the past two and a half years, Koda has taught me so much about the power of unconditional love and about appreciating the little things in life, and I will be forever grateful for that. 

As many of you know, I was suddenly denied my right to see Koda again on July 5, 2018, and I have not been able to see her since. Unfortunately, I am now forced to take legal action to get her back in my custody fair and square. This is the last way I wanted to handle the situation, but I simply cannot, and will not, walk away from what has turned out to be the most important thing in my life. 

The loss of contact with Koda has been huge source of anxiety, fear, and hopelessness these past two months, and this unforeseen financial burden has really intensified these feelings. I am working hard to raise the funds necessary to get the legal process started ASAP, but it has been slow and steady. After receiving several suggestions, I created this GoFundMe to accelerate the process.

Any donation, even just $1, is greatly appreciated at this point. I am simply overwhelmed with the amount of support I've received in this difficult time and I can't thank you all enough for having my back. The power of community can be truly life-changing, and I'm lucky enough to be a part of one that is highly engaged and motivated by justice. I'm confident that it will help me get Koda rightfully back in my arms.

note: I'm not sure what my legal fees will be, but any funds raised that I don't use towards that will be donated to the adoption agency Koda came from, Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue​.
