For Our Service Members & First Responders

Hello, our names are Lori and Mike. My wife and I are asking for donations to complete our veteran/first responder memorial on-site at The Outpost, our rental cabin. I am a combat infantryman, and my wife is a registered nurse. We proudly serve our country and community, and we deeply treasure our beautiful America. It is our mission to provide respite care for veterans, first responders, their families, and their friends. It is also our mission to serve as an outreach to those who do not have such family members but desire to learn more and/or experience the lives of our American Heroes.

The Outpost, located in the hills of Fredericksburg, Texas, near Enchanted Rock, is our very first project to help veterans & first responders. This rental cabin honors all military service members, veterans, first responders, and service dogs. The Outpost is constructed from reclaimed military buildings, battleground memorials, firehouses, police stations, and other similar structures. We invite you to be part of this expression of our thankfulness and respect in two ways: by purchasing an engraved brick to lay along the memorial to show your support or to remember those who have served/continue to serve. The bricks will be placed around the base of the memorial centerpiece. The bricks can be purchased by selecting this link: bricksrus.com/donorsite/stracthq. The bricks are delivered to The Outpost and will be permanently installed once all the bricks are ready for placement.

Here is the second way you can help: We are in need of the donation for the slanted centerpiece marker which will cost about $3,000. For a $3,000 donation, we will place 2 bronze engravings in the shape of the State of Texas on your behalf, 1 on each square limestone block, which your choice of words and insignia/symbols. Please us the pictures we have included as a reference. Email us so we can design your bronze plaque.

Also, a remaining $500 donation will allow us to purchase the final limestone bench and limestone centerpiece mounting block. For the $500 donation, we will place an engraved metal bench sponsor plaque on the remaining limestone bench with your choice of engraving.
