For my baby sister Susie a.k.a Susie Q

Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering a donation for my Sister. Susie (on the right) came out to see me in Colorado September 2nd 2021. We had a great time driving through the mountains (lost haha) visiting my brother, visiting our land out in Lake George. She went for a ride in the UTV all around the property and we stopped at 11 mile for a quick breath of fresh air. Unfortunately she had to cut the trip off early and head back to Chicago as she wasn't feeling well and just knew something was wrong. 2 days after she arrived back she ended up in the ER and has been in ICU since September 10th 2021. The original diagnosis was sepsis which shut down her kidney and liver. She only has 1 kidney as she donated the other one to my Mother 15 years ago. On September 22nd she was sedated and intubated (breathing tube) because she started to have trouble breathing due to the fluid building up in her whole body and lungs and they were worried that she would catch pneumonia. She became delirious due to the high levels of ammonia as well. Naturally, they started treating her for EVERYTHING. She has been battling this now, as of today September 25th, for 15 days and is still in critical condition. Yesterday they took her off all sedation medication and are trying to wake her up. She can't fight off the infection because her kidney and liver are not functioning properly but the amazing doctors are playing with all the meds and have been able to stabilize her in hopes that she will open her eyes. She is responding to them cleaning her tube by gagging and coughing a bit but they need her to open her eyes or another brain scan will have to be done in a few days to check if she has brain function.

We are there everyday supporting her, praying, talking to her trying to wake her up! Her nieces and nephews need her and she has another niece on the way October 13th!
