For Maria : An Aplastic Anemia Story

Breathless and Bruised. These were the signs that something wasn't right. Maria was a very active, social, and hard working individual before Aplastic Anemia wreaked havoc on her body. She has to go twice a week for blood transfusions and platelets. As a carefree individual (as much as you can be these days), the attention that she has to pay to even the slightest bit of exhaustion is exhausting. As a generous girl who is always paying it forward, it would be great if in her time of need she gets that generosity back. No longer able to work on her half torn up first floor where she spends most of her time, it would be wonderful if her friends could rally together and raise some funds for both her medical and construction endeavors. She's appreciative of anything that can be offered.

The treatment she will receive if a bone marrow transplant is not an option is immunosuppression. Not knowing the outcome or the recovery, we're all hoping she'll be able to come out of this with the same wit and sense of humor we love about her. GOOD LUCK, MARIA! WE LOVE YOU!!!
