Food, Heat and Safehouses Needed in Afghanistan

Don protégé
While most of America has already forgotten our Afghan friends and allies that were left behind, Tim and I (and 1000's of other veterans and US citizens) are still fighting for their lives! The news has gone silent, but we will personally never forget the heartwrenching consequences of the messy evacuation and withdrawal from Afghanistan.

This all began for us by trying to save one of Tim's personal interpreters, but we now have a list of over 200 families who have come to us for help. We have endured heart break with their families when they are killed, shared tears with their wives when they are captured, and now we helplessly watch as their children go to sleep cold and hungry.

I just spent two days trying to get food to 2 young sisters and their 13 yo brother (who hadn't eaten for more than two days), whose parents are presumed dead. In 1 day they will be forced to leave the room they are in and are at risk of being captured, beaten, raped or married to the Taliban (or any combination of the 4) if I can't find them a safe house. Daily, one of the sisters pleads with me from over 8,000 miles away, "please do not leave me alone"!
This is just a few stories, but there are 10's of thousands more just like these.

Incase you don't know, these men are atleast partially responsible that Tim and other veteran's came home alive. They risked their own lives and future and endangered their own families when they bravely stood beside and protected our troops in a combat zone , carried our injured troops to safety, and served not only as interpreters but as cultural advisors who saved the lives of many. We promised to bring them to safety, but we DID NOT KEEP THAT PROMISE! So we (and many other veteran families like us) are trying to force the hand of our government to keep that promise.

But until we succeed, many are hungry, cold, and some are in need of a safehouse. We are helping many, but the need is so great we can't help them all without your help. If you have $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 or $1,000...please help us keep them alive while they wait for their rescue. If you can't give money write to your president, your congressman or senators! We also need physical help managing their cases.

I want to make this very clear...these are good, proud and hardworking people, and most of them won't ask us for help, but we see the need. What they want most from us is to know that someone still remembers them, and someone still cares! Please don't forget them. Pray for them and for all of our veterans, including Tim, who are suffering through this with them!

If you can't help in any other way please SHARE, and ask your friends to share!

Go Fund Me disclosure:
My name is Jennifer Compton, and I live in VA, USA. I am the spouse of a USMC and Afghanistan veteran. I am personally requesting funds to help the Afghan families whose cases I manage. All funds will be used for providing food, heat or safehouses to our Afghan allies who are still in Afghanistan. In some cases money will be paid directly to the food or firewood vendor and safehouse provider. In other cases the money for food, fire wood, or safehouse will be sent directly to the person in need. Any funds left will be donated to a registerd non-profit organization to help fund future evacuation flights, or a registered non-profit organization who provides help for Afghan refugees in the United States.
