Food for Families GTA
Hungry children in the Greater Toronto Area? Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.
There are children that wake up hungry and go to bed hungry in the GTA. Families struggling to put food on the table is a real issue, and something that should not be occurring, especially in our own backyards.
FOOD FOR FAMILIES GTA has a plan.
Did you know that for only $50, you could feed a child ONE meal per day for 30 days? That one meal of the day will provide nourishment and keep their little tummies full.
Your Donations + Our Initiative
Your donations help us purchase groceries for families in particular need, located in the GTA. We arrange personalized family grocery bags based on size of family & ages of children. We, then, connect YOUR support with our GTA families. Depending on family preference and accessibility, we arrange for grocery delivery or pick-up. We will continue to support these families by providing groceries on a request basis.
Please donate what you are comfortable with so that we can provide these children & their families with groceries.

How are we finding families?
Chanel's professional experiences have led her to this initiative - particularly, her previous work at a Toronto elementary school - identified as one of the neediest schools in the GTA. Through this, we have reached out to this school and its staff to help us identify families who are in need of help. On an as-needed basis, their staff will continue to help us link your donations to helping these children & their families. In other words, we are committed to provide ongoing grocery supply to as many families for as long as your donations can support our initiative. We will provide pick-up and/or delivery of groceries as often as requested to our GTA children & families.
