Hi, I'm Sosaia Talanoa. I was born and raised in Reno, NV, and attended McQueen High School. I graduated at class rank 7 out of over 300 kids with a GPA of 5.02, I am a two-time AP scholar, I am a recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Award, I helped earn a state championship in marching band in 2020, I played AAU basketball for a year and a half, and last December I was admitted into the Class of 2026 at Columbia University in the City of New York (an Ivy League school with an acceptance rate of 3.4%). I will be majoring in Astrophysics with the goal of attaining a doctorate. I'll be at the frontier of scientific discovery, further developing our understanding of the universe around us.

There's just one problem, I need help getting there. I do not possess the finances to get myself from Reno, NV to NYC. I have fought against financial instability for the entirety of my life and I won't let it stop me now.
