Flood Relief for Steve Wehr

Donation protected
Over this past weekend, in Quakertown Pennsylvania, Steve Wehr,  was a victim of a flash flood.  Quakertown recorded 4+ inches of rain over the weekend, but the important thing to note isn't necessarily the amount of rain that fell but the rate at which it fell.

Steve purchased his fixer-upper, Cape Cod style house in 2012.  With the help of his family, they were able to fix it up and turn it into a home. Steve and his girlfriend now reside in the home with their two dogs. His girlfriend is currently attending grad-school and is studying chemistry.

Within minutes, the basement and garage were flooded with 5 feet of water. Steve had a wood-working shop in the basement where all his tools are now covered in septic waste making it very difficult to salvage and thoroughly clean. In addition to the damage of the house, Steve lost his furnace, hot water heater, air conditioning unit, propane tank, and wood for heat in the winter. The first floor of their home was covered in water but they were able to quickly rip up the floorboards and are hoping to save the lumber. Everything that was outside of the home was washed away, in addition, his two cars were totaled.

We are looking to come together as a community to raise money for Steve to begin to put his home back together.

Thank you so much for your contributions.
