Fish and Friendship

We're trying to force ourselves into four noble goals: helping de-worm the world, bringing people together over interesting cocktails, innovating with cocktail recipes, and building interesting furniture.

For every $5 we raise here, I'll give $50 to the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative.   SCI is leading the fight against parasitic works. Schistosomiasis kills nearly 300,000 people per year, and more than 300 million people have a disease caused by this parasitic worm. Half of its victims are elementary school children, and the worm retards brain development; increases the mortality and morbidity of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria; and often causes vision and hearing problems, cancer, kidney malfunction, and anemia. Just $10,000 can protect 13,698 children per year from schistosomiasis.

--If you contribute at least $10, you'll get access to our periodic Fish Tales newsletter, where we write about our fish tank table, the fish inside it, and the cocktails we're serving on the table.

--If you contribute at least $25, we'll name a fish as you desire, and we'll keep you up on its health.

--If you contribute at least $50, we'll make a specialty cocktail with your name as the title, and we'll serve it to you across our fish table some evening (plus SCI will get $2,500).
