On July 5th i had a firework accident causing me to lose some digits , hearing loss and blurred vision. i was coaxed into lighting a firework, as soon as i lit the wick, the firework exploded in my hand and face. i’ve lost my thumb and middle finger on my dominate right hand and also sustained injuries to my left with little to no mobile function in either. thankfully i had sunglasses on which saved my eyeballs slightly. i had a ear plug in my right ear which saved that ears hearing but none in my left ear causing hearing loss. i was airlifted from fortwayne to indianapolis hospital . the quick thinking of my 2 buddies Shaun and Robbie tying tourniquets on my arms genuinely saved my life. i came in with less than 6.9l of blood in me, ive had some transfusions so im more stable now.

im a single male who lives alone. i have a great dane named Adaeza(4yrs) and 2 siamese cats Kurenai(5yrs) and Tsubaki(2yrs) . i was on a 2 week shut down from work for the 4th of July so i have no income coming in especially after the accident i’ll be unable to work. it’s a scary thought not knowing what’s going to happen in the coming weeks with life still continuing to flow while im injured. any help to get me back on my feet is greatly appreciated and loved endlessly . a truly traumatic experience.
