Fire Tragedy: Support for Villa Torres Family

On Saturday morning, September 17th, 2022, a sudden and fatal fire occurred at the family home of Marilu Torres, Alfonso Villa, Jefferson Jimenez Torres & Stefanie Villa Torres. It took 60 firefighters 45 minutes to get the fire under control. During this time, Alfonso (35 years old) and Jefferson (18 years old) were rescued and are now being treated for burns injuries at Jacobi Medical Center. However, sadly and tragically, eight-year-old Stefanie died in the fire. Marilu, her mother, was on her way to work when the fire broke out.

We have known Marilu and her beloved family for many years. Marilu is
currently staying in the hospital with Alfonso and Jefferson. There are no words for what their family has experienced and the long road ahead for them to rebuild their lives. We are fundraising to help them so that they can fund Stefanie's funeral, Alfonso’s medical recovery and rebuild their home. Marilu, Alfonso and Jefferson are so grateful for any help.

El sábado 17 de septiembre de 2022 por la mañana, se produjo un incendio repentino y fatal en la casa de la familia de Marilu Torres, Alfonso Villa, Jefferson Jimenez Torres y Stefanie Villa Torres. Se necesitaron 60 bomberos, 45 minutos para controlar el fuego. Durante este tiempo, Alfonso (35 años) y Jefferson (18 años) fueron rescatados y ahora reciben tratamiento por quemaduras en el Centro Médico Jacobi.
