If the search for Luna is terminated, either because she's found or because of worst-case-scenario news, any extra funds will be donated to Animal Welfare League Queensland. Verification/receipts for all monies spent and/or donated will be provided to anyone upon request. I, the fundraising organizer, will administer (and be accountable for) all monies. I’m helping Pru to find her little missing dog ‘Luna’. Luna escaped from her house on Kiriwina Street, Fig Tree Pocket, Queensland on the day after Brisbane’s huge hail storm (27th October 2025). Luna’s mummy Pru is distraught and desperate. Luna is loved and treasured and desperately missed. Since she went missing Pru has worked tirelessly to find her. She has coordinated the search campaign and is exhausting every possible means to find her. There are posters all over the local area. There are volunteer search parties (comprised of friends and kind strangers) searching the streets, creeks, parks and yards. There have been letterbox drops and Facebook posts and there is a reward offered for her safe return. Pru has also engaged a pet detective agency who is also ‘working the case’. Heartbreakingly, Luna is still missing.

I’ve only recently met Pru through her search campaign…but as a devoted dog ‘mummy’ myself, I feel compelled to support Pru in this desperate and urgent search. Pru is quite young, and like all of us back then, she doesn’t have a lot of money. She’s already funding all of the search efforts herself, including the reward for Luna’s return and the pet detective services. But Luna is still missing and Pru needs a hand.

This fundraiser is to raise money to engage the services of ‘Industrial Drone Services Australia’ who provide thermal drone animal search and rescue services. Their thermal cameras are extremely sensitive and they’re able to identify even small animals hiding in dense scrub and forest. We believe that Luna may be scared, weak and confused and may be hiding in the scrub and creek areas in the Fig Tree Pocket area. Industrial Drone Services Australia search in the coolest hours of the morning in order to generate the most striking thermal contrast between warm blooded animals and their cooler surroundings. A quick review of the videos on their website show how powerful their equipment is. Unfortunately, their services are also expensive. The services are charged hourly and payment is required up-front.

If you’ve ever loved or lost a beloved pet, or you know Pru or Luna, or you’re just a kind person who can sympathise with Pru’s awful predicament, please consider making a small donation to help in our search. Tonight little Luna might be outside, all alone in the dark, hungry and scared. We desperately want to bring her home and hope that a small contribution from you will make that possible.
