Financial Legal Support - John Blain Go Fund Me

My name is John Blain, an ex-international and professional cricketer and now a cricket coach.

I am seeking financial support to enable me to:

• Fund legal costs of clearing and protecting my reputation following flawed, unfair and inadequate civil process by cricketing authorities.

• Hold to account those that have made false and defamatory allegations or facilitated processes that have impugned my name. 

Funds raised will be used exclusively to support any future action including via judicial review, administrative court/high court action or used in litigation for defamation and for all

legal support.

The past three and half years have had a harrowing impact on me and my family. I have suffered significant loss of income and unjustified reputational damage due to targeted public and private personal attacks.

Those who know me, know I have been unfairly branded a racist, the most awful of slurs.

I am hugely grateful to the thousands of people in the international cricket community who have shown their support, many, many of them from an Asian background. On behalf of my young family, I would ask for your help in what will be a long, arduous and very costly process to achieve justice.

All unused funds will be donated to the Brain Tumour Charity UK, Cancer Research UK and Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital in support of friends lost or in appreciation of past care received.
