Thank you all for the outpouring of love and condolences while we process the shock and grief of Matthew's passing.

He died quickly when a blood clot dislodged and travelled to his lungs. The Medical Examiner's office said there was nothing that could have been done to save him. He was 32.

Unfortunately, Matthew was uninsured, and so we are reaching out for your help so that we can cover the expenses of necessary travel, the transportation of his remains, cremation services, support for his girlfriend of more than 10 years, Mika, and a modest memorial so friends and family may gather to celebrate his life.
