Fighting Against Frac'ing
Donation protected
Since early 2008, I have been very actively involved in the fight against urban oil and gas exploration and production, unsafe pipeline operations, unsafe deep injection well operations and related activities of oil and gas e&p. I have done this out of my own pocket at great expense in time, energy and money because I believe that our environment and our health are not expendable.
In 2009, I founded FracDallas (http://fracdallas.org/) as a citizen activist group dedicated to stopping drilling in Dallas, Texas, where a nearly 4-year fight led to passage of a strict drilling ordinance that prevented any wells being drilled in Dallas. Since that time I have consulted with and supported many people across America and around the world, providing consultation, education, public presentations and logistical support in their own fight.
On a Christmas trip I suffered a trasnsmission failure in my vehicle in Utah, and have been stranded since that time without funds to repair the damage and get back home for a crucial fight against injection wells, as well as other actions in this fight pending before legislatures in several states this spring.
I need to raise $3,000.00 immediately to pay for a replacement transmission so I can get back home and back to work. Any funds raised above the actual cost of the repair will be utilized to advance the fight against fossil fuel e&p, and the move toward a green, clean, renewable, sustainable energy future that does not include the use of fossil fuels.
I deeply regret having to make this plea, but all other efforts to raise the money have failed and I am currently incapacitated to the point of being unable to contribute to the fight. Any assistance getting back home and back into the fight will be graciously appreciated.
