Hello everyone,
My name is Orry (Susan) Farrell. Charlie Geisz is my brother-in-law, married to my youngest sister Denise. A few months ago he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. This means that the cancer cells have spread to some of his lymph nodes. He underwent invasive surgery to remove 12 inches of his colon and a couple of weeks later had a port ( a central line IV ) for chemotherapy inserted. His chemotherapy regime will last 6 months with him receiving doses that take 3 days every two weeks. He has so far had 2 doses that knocked out his energy and left him exhausted and extremely nauseated. It also makes him very sensitive to cold temperatures.
Charlie is a middle school teacher near Atlanta, Georgia and is trying his best to keep up at work. Unfortunately he has had to take many sick days to recover from his surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. My sister Denise, who is a fourth grade teacher, has also had to use sick days to help take care of him and get him back on his feet. They have two gorgeous sons named Colin, who is 13 and Harrison who is 4. They are a sweet young family and Charlie is a fantastic father.
They need all the help they can get to battle this ugly monster and if anyone can FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT and win..... it is Charlie Geisz! This Go Fund Me rally is for your consideration and any donation will help with medical bills, sick days at both of their schools, monthly bills, gas money etc.
