My name is Tim Trumble, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for taking a moment to hear my story. Today, I find myself facing an unexpected and pressing medical challenge that has turned my life upside down, and I am reaching out to you for your support.

In a shocking turn of events, my left hip resurfacing, which I received 22 years ago, has failed (the metal cup in the pelvis has come loose). This condition has led to escalating pain and heavy metal toxicity due to the presence of Cobalt and Chromium in the implant. The only solution is surgery right away to revise the hip and start over again.

Let me share a bit about how I got to this point. In 1994, a bike crash resulted in severe blunt trauma to my left leg, setting the stage for my continuing struggle with chronic pain. Despite the challenges, I persevered, pursuing my dream of teaching Aikido and living life in the mountains. In 2001, I underwent hip resurfacing surgery, which brought me relief and allowed me to rebuild my health. I went to Acupuncture school and returned to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to start a career in alternative health care. It is a great fit and I really love helping people with their health.

However, in 2009, my other hip failed, sending me back into the world of chronic pain. In 2011, it was replaced, but the wrong stem was put in my femur, negatively impacting my well-being for over a decade. Last July, that was revised and is doing fine, but now, the revision of the original one has to happen to stop the pain and the long-term exposure to the heavy metals which has led to the neurological and cognitive issues that I've endured for far too long.

The surgery to replace the loose component is November 10th, and while Medicare will cover the surgical expenses, I will be unable to get back to work for some time. I’m ready for this road to recovery, but I simply do not have the time to gather the funds needed to cover my living expenses during this critical period.
