Dad Battling Cancer

Hello! My name is Jessica. I'm starting this gofundme for my Sister, Brother inlaw and their children. As many of you may be aware, my Brother-In-Law David (36 in December) was recently diagnosed with cancer. While the doctors are still trying to determine the exact type, they believe it is either lymphoma or thymic carcinoma – both of which are malignant and aggressive. David was diagnosed after experiencing severe chest pain in September that resulted in an ER visit, where they ran a bunch of tests and determined he had a large mass in his chest. Later test revealed the cancer. Due to the location of the mass, he has been experiencing tremendous pain and a recurrent pneumonia infection. A treatment plan and long-term prognosis is not known at this time. Once they have completed surgery to remove the mass and have it biopsied, the doctors will know more – at which time a plan can be made.

David, and my sister Amber (36), are the proud parents of 7 kiddos – Lupe, Landon, Ceci, Cruz, Isaiah, Wyatt, and Bradley. David has been the primary provider for the home but has been unable to work since his ER visit in September due to his diagnosis, and Amber has been unable to work because she must focus on caring for David and the kids.

I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of raising enough money to help them financially during this time, so that David and Amber can focus on David’s upcoming surgery and future treatment. All donations will go towards bills, food, and the kids’ needs. Anything extra will be used towards medical bills. This has been a huge shock to our whole family, and we are hopeful that you will consider joining us in helping support them through this difficult time.
