Ferguson Family Vehicle

Hello everyone,
This GFM has been set up to raise money towards a used car for the Ferguson Family (Patrick, Sarah, Natalie and Margot).
If you have found this page, you might already know Natalie’s cancer story, but in case you have just stumbled upon it you may be wondering why we would need help for this situation?
I wanted to give a quick recap of what the last few years have looked like for our family:
In late 2020 we were just like any other family.
In October 2020 we were taking a 3 year old Natalie trick-or-treating and looking forward to the coming holiday season. We were so excited to be welcoming a 2nd baby girl in March and we were all happy and healthy (which was a blessing beyond words as the world was in the middle of horrific pandemic.)
We had no idea of what was to come.
In early November 2020 Natalie began displaying some concerning symptoms and we learned that she had a tumor on her brain.
Surgery revealed the tumor to be a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Grade 3 Anaplastic Ependymoma.
Our entire world was flipped completely upside down and instantly fear and uncertainty consumed our future (something that still has not gone away).
Natalie completed her treatment by March 2021, but not even a full year later in early March 2022 we were told Natalie’s cancer was back again.
From the start of Natalie’s diagnosis Patrick has had to take a considerable amount of time off work, and with Natalie relapsing so soon from the end of treatment, his paid leave was entirely exhausted.
I know that most families would have a hard time with 1 week of lost pay.
We have had to endure multiple weeks of lost pay, on top of the steep financial burden of medical bills, copays, drug costs, travel costs etc. that come with a cancer diagnosis.
Without the help of our community and friends and family and your generosity we would not have made it through this time without financial ruin.
Our family has had only one vehicle for the past 3 years which has been an added stressor with Natalie needing to be at the hospital, physical therapy, school, and other appointments.
We are again asking you to assist us by helping us reach our goal of funding a family vehicle.
We are looking for a reliable used car for Sarah to drive during the day to get Natalie where she needs to go, and also to be able to run errands while Patrick is at work.
We completely understand not everyone will be in a position to donate and so we ask that you please share this page to help us meet our goal.
