Feet4February - 100 Miles in a Month!

Donativo protegido
Hi everyone and thank you for clicking onto our donation page for our Feet for February fundraiser supporting local charities. A strong group of 14 will take upon the challenge of going the distance of 100 miles each for the month of February. This campaign will be raising vital funds for local charities in the North West, The North-West Hospice & North-West Stop Suicide & RNLI are the beneficiaries.

The campaign initiative is organised by James Lawlor, who due to a medical emergency was rescued by the RNLI last June. James and a collective group of friends have come together to create this campaign to give back to the local charities which have a personal and significant meaning to all taking part.

Together as a group by running a total of 1300 miles for the three charities, we hope you can donate, big or small, which will go a long way to supporting these charities during these difficult times. We ask you to share our donation page on social media, with our hashtag #Feet4February.

The best of luck to the group of Eimear, Lee, Paula, James, Gearode, Jared, Fiachra, Kaillum, Holly, Senan, Ciaran, Katie, Colm & Rebecca who are taking on the challenge!

The RNLI are a 100% voluntary emergency service, separate from the coastguard and independent from government. They operate 24/7 365 days of the year, ready for any emergency. The station located at Rosses Point have taken on many calls this year and have saved many lives. Their training and life saving gear comes at a cost and donations received will keep the gear and training services up to date.

The North West Hospice provides palliative care services for people with life limiting illnesses where they are residing, be that at home, in a nursing home, hospital or in the hospice. The North West Hospice is an independent not-for-profit organisation and requires €1 million in donations annually from fundraising initiatives to stay open. They offer a first for nothing service and our group all know close friends and family who have received the first-class service of the hospice.

North West STOP is a registered charity which provides a range of mental health services for all age groups, including children and adolescents. They are a voluntary body that works to prevent suicide by informing educating and promoting positive suicide prevention policies throughout the west and north-west of Ireland. They operate on a donation basis and require vital funding to keep their services active 24/7.

Thank you,

Feet for February Committee
