Father, Grandfather paralyzed in Auto Accident

February 3, 2022, Darren Taylor woke up with his lovely wife, got dressed and the only thing on his mind was delivering meals to senior citizens. His vehicle was rear-ended, the truck flipped several times, which was the moment his life changed forever.

He was an extremely active man, a family man, but he found out that day that he broke vertebrates 6 & 7 in his neck. As a more heart-wrenching gut punch, the doctors communicated that he was paralyzed from the chest down. The paralysis did not register in the beginning because he was more concerned with making sure the senior centers and the clients were still receiving their food than he was about himself. That is the type of person he is; he always thinks of others and places the needs of others above his personal needs.

 

Darren was transported from Dothan, Alabama, to Atlanta, Georgia, for three months of extensive therapy to gain some form of mobility. His wife Glady's has been by his side the entire time. His children and grandchildren are eagerly awaiting some form of good news.
