FAROUKS feature film
Jason Affolder, Jeremy Johnson, and Josh Johnson are natives of Vincennes, Indiana who seek to produce a feature film entitled FAROUKS. It is a coming-of-age comedy/drama that focuses on the workers employed at a world-reknowned Vincennes institution known as BILL BOBE'S PIZZERIA...
Together these guys have already made dozens of short films and music videos, as well as two full-length motion pictures. Now the team is asking for help from friends, family, collaborators, and business owners in raising the necessary budget for this new endeavor.
SYNOPSIS:
FAROUKS chronicles the lives of three young misfits who work together at a legendary pizzeria in the rural Midwest… Lindsey is a reckless 17-year-old girl dealing with love and loss, Rodney is a 21-year-old buffoon suddenly facing real responsibilities, and Gordo is an awkward 15-year-old who just wants to fit in by partying hard. Their intertwined tales paint a portrait of small town American life in shades sometimes lyrical, often humorous, and always a bit outlandish. It’s Dazed & Confused meets The Last Picture Show, evoking the poignancy of youth and infused with a raucous, irreverent attitude.
