Family of Five with 2 Cats in a Dangerous Home

Hi, my name is Trisha Jones. I'm a widow of 7 years and I'm a mother of 4 children. Recently we moved into a supposed friend of mines after we had to move out because of mold and people being shot at almost every week or a few times a week in October of 2023. Also due to Social Security cutting our benefits more than half, which is getting taken care of through them due to them not having our address there.

My "friend" talked to her boyfriend and offered us to rent the upstairs in their house. Things were starting out good, but slowly became more and more dangerous. The owner and his girlfriend we're living with has on numerous occasions have threatened me whether it was verbally and/or physically towards me and my kids. They have turned off our electric in the section of the huge house where we reside as well as the hot water and kitchen so me and my kids can't make anything for us to eat. We also can't wash any of our clothes so all of us have basically been wearing the same set of clothes for about a week. Recently she took the air out of our tires and we almost got into an accident. He is enabling her to do this and he started doing it himself.

In many ways we just feel tortured like we're prisoners and every time we try to settle our disputes with them it always ends in a giant argument. Twice in one week we called the cops on them just to leave us be, because they can't legally kick us out without going through the courts. But they don't care because they still shut off our electric and everything. As well as continuing with the threats and insulting my children in derogatory ways all of whom have disabilities including Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Autism. We have been so stressed out and overwhelmed by the abuse these people are putting us through that we can't eat or sleep right. Pretty much every time we try to eat anything no matter how minute it is we ended throwing it back up.

We've been trying to find a temporary place for quite awhile by asking other friends to stay with as well as social services, churches, recovery programs (I'm over 2 years clean by the way). Recently we have found an apartment that is being renovated, but it needs the fundings for it to be fully complete.

We're basically starting this gofundme to help is get the funds we need for right now just to get out of this house and to get us by. We're drained emotionally, mentally and physically because of all this. Any type of donations will help us greatly.
