Family lost mother & sister has long recovery

I just wanted to give an update on Sheila. She is doing the best that she can. She is still waiting on insurance and a rehab facility and in that time she is having to pay for all of her medical necessities and medications out of pocket. And just to put it into perspective one pill cost $30 and she needs one a day and last I heard she is completely out as of today. It is imperative that she gets the very best care possible until her insurance kicks in so we ask if there is anything that anyone Can give it would be greatly appreciated.



April 3rd VERY special person went home to be with the lord. Faye was killed upon impact during a car accident while driving with Sheila to meet Krissi and Carly at the movies. To my knowledge the young lady driving the vehicle that struck them walked away. She is also facing vehicular man slaughter. Sheila was taken to Athens Piedmont Hospital where she underwent her first surgery that night to set her hips and allow blood flow to her lower half of her body. She had to have blood a few times due to the large gash in her head that was staples shut. Over the next several days she had multiple surgeries to set broken bones and place metal rods, plates and screws in place to put her back together from her neck to her ankles. She was in ICU for about a week. Sheila is doing considerably well. She is still in the hospital and will soon need to be moved to a rehab facility. She has a VERY long road ahead of her. Doctors say months of being bed ridden is possible then months of being wheelchair bound with up to a year or more to recover. Which means over a year without being able to work. Her medical expenses have already reached over a $1,000,000 dollars with no end in sight. Sheila is only allotted $50,000 from the auto insurance to cover medical expenses. She will need some financial assistance to help her while she is focused on getting well. Unfortunately, Faye had no Life Insurance due to poor health conditions. Every bill or financial need that arises is being paid for out of pocket and by donations to the family. Faye’s service arrangements have been set for May 4th at 1pm at Acree David Funeral home in Toccoa. Please, give what you can and continue to pray for Sheila and the family as this will continue to be a financial burden for a good long while to this family that has already paid the ultimate price of losing their mother in the process. Let’s help relieve some of the stress to allow the family to focus on mourning their loss and help Sheila focus on getting well. She will be moved to a long term rehab facility in Athens soon. Sheila’s family is trying to keep her from losing her house and keeping her bills paid.
