Family in need, The Golecki Girls

Hi. My name is Barbara Foshay Golecki. At a serious crossroads.

Not sure where else to turn. I never thought I would be putting myself out there like this, but here we are.

The last few years have been difficult in the least but recently things have taken a grimmer turn.

In November of 2021, I crushed my elbow and broke my arm. The aftermath included several bone infections, 2 surgeries and 7 months of Physical Therapy. The bills piled up, and I struggled to keep up. In the past couple of months, I’ve experienced a serious fight with gastrointestinal illness that caused my intestines to thicken and sent me to an inpatient stay. During that time a benign tumor was found in my appendix, which I had removed last week.

Now, the out-of-pocket expenses of all of this have grown and grown. I am unable to manage the financial burden these medical adventures have caused. I need you.

Today, I am asking for your help. We are all experiencing the crazy inflation and rising costs of everything. It is very hard for me to ask you for this, in this current economy. But I am beyond being able to survive without it. As a single parent of 2 – I’ve been able to keep us going, financially. Now these mounting bills are in the way of maintaining a basic household. We live on what we need and forgo a lot of what we want. It is a good life but much harder to manage with this financial burden hanging over me. We normally struggle here and there and survive-but the situation at hand is dire.

I have a great family, great friends, and a decent life. But I see it starting to financially crack and crumble. Now, all the medical bills and regular bills are a shambles. I need a hand up. This is a one-time request to help my family get back on track.

Keeping up with all the payments, food and rent is impossible. I can’t pay my rent this month.

The help I am asking for is not an easy thing to do, but I am not able to do this alone. I need help. Never thought I’d be in this position, but life goes on- for better or worse.
