Last night, tragedy struck our family when a fire tore through our home, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We are devastated, but incredibly grateful that everyone made it out alive.
That was only thanks to the bravery of 12-year-old Nicholas, who raised the alarm and called 999, giving everyone the chance to escape. Without his quick thinking, this story could have been very different. He is our little hero.
The family – Carol (mum), Jennifer (daughter), and Jennifer’s three children, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Eleanor – have lost their home and all of their belongings. The fire has taken everything: furniture, clothes, toys, school supplies, and essentials.
This situation is made even more difficult as Elizabeth and Eleanor are severely autistic, high-dependency, and both need their own separate rooms to feel safe and secure. Rebuilding their environment and routine is absolutely vital for their wellbeing.
Right now, we are trying to piece life back together and replace the household items that were lost in the fire. We’re reaching out to our community for help – whether big or small, every donation will make a real difference.
Your support will go directly towards:
Essential household items (beds, clothing, appliances)
Setting up safe, separate spaces for Elizabeth and Eleanor
School supplies and toys to bring some normality back for the children
Basic living needs while we get back on our feet
We know times are tough for many, but if you can spare anything at all, it will help us rebuild a safe home for the children. Even if you can’t donate, please share this page so we can reach others who may be able to help.
From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.
The family of Carol, Jennifer, Nicholas, Elizabeth & Eleanor
