Relief for Faith and Lucas
Donativo protegido
On the morning of March 25th, Faith and Lucas woke up to a nightmare. They were rushed out of their apartment by neighbors only to find that it and several buildings nearby were on fire. Fortunately, they were safely able to escape with their pets but with little more than the clothes on their backs. What was not damaged in the fire was damaged through the firefighters' efforts to extinguish it, and the collapse of their roof under the water pressure.
Faith and Lucas, both current students, have a long road ahead as they begin to replace everything they lost. Lucas is nearing graduation from UNO and has lost his computer with his schoolwork on it. Faith is currently a second-year medical student at LSUHSC New Orleans and is preparing for the Step 1 board exam which she is scheduled to take in a matter of weeks. She has lost irreplaceable study materials that she has worked on for the past two years as well as her laptop which contains not only schoolwork but work on her research as well. Lucas and Faith had just spent their savings on new furniture and a mattress for the apartment as well which have been destroyed.
While Faith and Lucas are fortunate enough to have family and friends to stay with while they get back on their feet, they will need all the help they can replacing basic living essentials. Any help that you can provide is much appreciated. Thank you for your support in this extremely trying time.
