Face Shields (Covid 19)

We have repurposed our family business, Design Etch Cut, in order to produce protective face shields for front line workers during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Until now it has been self-funded, with the help of our amazing friends and family. However, with the huge demand, we are in need of additional funds, in order to cover the cost of materials and production, to ensure there is a continued supply.
During the Covid 19 outbreak, this will continue to be a non-profit venture.
We do not believe that front line workers should have to pay for PPE, so the face shields will be donated to those who are working hard to help keep us all safe.
So far our face shields have been distributed to hospitals, ICU units, nursing homes, the police and the funeral service, amongst others.
They are designed to fit over other PPE being used, e.g. goggles and masks.
Although they have not been medically certified, we have been given great feedback from the medical professionals who have already received them.
They are easy to clean and reuse and the size is easily adjusted to offer a secure comfortable fit.
The original design came from a collaboration between Smoke & Mirrors and Kitronik. It was kindly shared by PPC Design and Technology and has since been adapted by Design Etch Cut.
