Support for Jobi Gangestad
Donation protected
Jobi recently was diagnosed with two serious conditions. First, they found a brain tumor called an interosseous meningioma. They must do surgery soon as possible as it is pressing on her optic nerves to preserve her eyesight. However, they also found her neck had several areas that had bulging discs and stenosis around her spinal cord.
Last week, the Neurologists made the decision the neck needed to be repaired before removing the brain tumor, he removed 4 discs in her neck at the University of Iowa Hospital, they went through the front of her neck and took out C4-C7 and replaced them with metal plates. They decided to do this surgery first to avoid possible paralysis from the stenosis around her spinal cord.
Brain surgery for the tumor will come months after she is healed enough from her neck surgery. They don’t believe there is damage to the optic nerves and hopefully when the tumor is removed her swelling and eyesight and all the things that come with this brain tumor will return to normal.
With that being said, she has a long and tough road ahead of her, she will not be able to go back to work for quite some time. Those who know Jobi, knows she has one of the kindest, caring giving souls around. She never asks for help, which is why I am asking for your "support" by making a donation and sharing it with your network, to help lessen the burden with her medical and household bills. We would greatly appreciate any support possible. God Bless!
