Extra Support for Maggie

In late August, our wonderful friend/mother/wife Maggie (Gosia) Bolinger was raced to the hospital with overwhelming abdominal pain.  Upon triage and CT Scan review, the Dr.’s found at least two masses on her pancreas and the other(s) on or near her ovaries.  Under a cloud of uncertainty and fear, thoughts quickly for Maggie turned to her husband (Sam) and two young children (Kaylee 4 and Evan 6) and what life might be like for them all if these masses ended up being cancerous.  What if she couldn’t be there for them as she was battling cancer back in treatment or worse yet…..

The next two weeks were spent in surgeries/scopes and images to identify whether the masses were cancerous, if they were the same cancer or separate, what treatment might be necessary and getting answers to the looming uncertainties that had been there since the emergency room.

Ultimately, Maggie and her family learned that she has a large pancreatic cancerous tumor that is wrapped around an artery making it impossible for now to remove and as we are still waiting for final results on the ovarian tumor(s). the Dr’s will be aggressively moving ahead with a full 16 round chemo treatment program to beat back this disease and give her a chance at a good life with her children and husband. 

We are looking here, to help ease any of the medical financial obligations and extra services that may be needed to help support the family during this time.  Any amount of donation or even positive thoughts to the family would be so appreciated.  The money will be going straight to the Bolinger family to utilize as they see fit during this journey.
