My daughter, Christi Hiett, has been living in a trailer at her friend’s home. Christi has been attending college online and has almost received her bachelor’s degree in business management.
Her life had been going pretty well this past few months and the future was starting to be brighter. Christi had recently bought an older Honda car and was even able to buy a motorcycle which was her pride and joy.
In the early morning hours of May 3rd the unimaginable happened. Christi woke from her sleep to the sound of a popping sound. Fortunately she had the wherewithal to put on her glasses and peek through the shades of the trailer. She saw a bright orange glow and fire. Quickly she grabbed her robe and phone and ran to the door where the flames were threatening to take over. By the grace of God she escaped and was able to get to safety to watch everything she owned go up in flames.
Unfortunately she had no insurance. The lady who was kind enough to let her stay there lost her entire home as well. The insurance money she will be getting will help her to rebuild her home. I’m sure she’ll try to help Christi but the money only goes so far.
Currently Christi is staying with me and my husband. We’re all doing everything we can to help her rebuild her life but we could use help so she’ll be able to get another car and eventually get into a place of her own to live.
Any donations received will go into an account for Christi to help in rebuilding her life. We’re extremely grateful for any help you can give. And prayers are always welcome.. God saved her from that fire … she will move on and do great things.
