My name is Natasha Hayes-Swan, and I am reaching out to all my Family and Friends during a particularly challenging time for my family and me.

As you may have heard, my beloved mother recently passed away, leaving a deep void in our lives. She was a remarkable woman, radiating kindness and compassion. Throughout her life, she consistently went above and beyond to help those in need, whether they were friends, family, or even strangers who required a hand. Her spirit of generosity was truly an inspiration to all of us.

As we navigate the grieving process, we find ourselves in need of financial assistance to bring her home from Adelaide to Alice Springs to lay her to rest. We initially planned to make our way home the day after her passing.

On the same day a few hours later, my daughter suffered a severe accident that has left her in critical condition. She fell from approximately three stories high through a skylight and has sustained multiple fractures, including to her left thigh, left pelvis, and left hip. She is currently undergoing surgery at the Women and Children’s Hospital. Necessitated that we delay our travel arrangements in light of this emergency, our focus has shifted to ensuring her recovery over the next three weeks forced us to delay our planned travel arrangements during this difficult time, our family will need all the support we can gather as we navigate through her healing process.

Once my daughter has made significant progress and we feel confident about her recovery, we will return home to Alice Springs to sort out our plans thereafter. Our aim is to properly honour my mother’s memory by giving her the send-off she deserves and being able to bring her home.
