Ironman Triathlon for ALS & Sexual Assault Centre

Hi there,

My name is Joshua Langston. I'm a 23-year-old student at Dalhousie University and I am raising money for ALS research and family support initiatives, through the Iron Phi Program

as well as the Avalon Sexual Assault Centre !

As a student at Dalhousie University, I joined the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity in my first year. Our fraternity is based on the values of friendship, scholarship and moral rectitude. We are a group of young men looking to make a difference in our community.

Iron Phi is a challenge that all members and friends of the fraternity can undertake. Achieving this sought-after title involves raising $1000 for ALS and completing an athletic feat.

For my Iron Phi, I will be completing the Mt. Tremblant Ironman Triathlon on August 21st, 2022. This will certainly prove challenging, but I am hoping through accomplishing this feat I will be able to raise both funds and awareness for ALS and the second cause I am supporting: The Avalon Sexual Assault Centre.

The Avalon Centre is a Halifax-based, feminist organization working to eliminate sexualized violence and change the culture that fosters it. They do great work in the city of Halifax and have supported people close to me. So in addition to our standard Iron Phi pledge, I wanted to also support this great cause working close to home!

I am therefore endeavouring to raise at least $1000 for each cause before my Ironman Triathlon on August 21st. 100% of all donations will be split between these two causes.
