On March 21st, 2016, twelve year old Liam Boydstun and his family received devastating and life altering news.  Liam needs an implanted heart device and, ultimately, a heart transplant.  Two short weeks ago, Liam was hospitalized due to swelling and leaking in/around his heart.  Numerous procedures and specialists later, it has been discovered that Liam was suffering from heart failure, though a direct cause of that has not been discovered.  The sad truth is that his heart will not be able to recover and the implanted device that he will be having surgically placed is his best chance at normalizing his body's other functions and organs so that he will be able to qualify for a heart transplant.  At last update, they were anticipating that he may remain hospitalized for up to 2 months from now.  As you can imagine, the cost of his medical care thus far has been staggering, and this is just the beginning.  Please consider donating to help with Liam's medical expenses.  Even modest donations will lighten this family's significant financial burden.  Thank you.
