I wish that you all could meet the Estepp family-- Ed, Laura and their teenage boys. They are amazing. Ed has a very serious neuromuscular disease, that he has fought for many years now. It is only recently that it has become much more debilitating than it ever was before. It got so bad that he ended up in the hospital, and then in a rehab center for therapy. It has now impacted EVERY aspect of their lives. He can no longer use a scooter independently to get around. He will need assistance to perform daily tasks, that you and I do without thinking. Laura will need to take an undetermined amount of time off of work, to get things in place, so that Ed can be safe at home, and the boys will need to be helping out as they can, when they're out of school.
I can only imagine the stress this family is going through.
I am blessed to know this family. I will do whatever I can to help. We should all be so lucky to have so much strength and love as they do--but they need OUR help. Please do whatever you can to support them as they work to keep Ed safe and strong, and Laura and the boys positive and healthy, too.
