PLEASE... Give our Wrestling Club HOPE!

My name is Bruce Irwin, I am the head coach of Erne Wrestling Club, Located in Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, directly serving Co Fermanagh and Co Tyrone.

Over the past 11 years, we've been helping young men, women and people of all ages learn life skills through Olympic wrestling and Grappling.

This has been one of my biggest passions in life to both help those wanting to learn and to also reach out to both the local and global communities.

Our club has been a place of health and well-being for so many people and it has been my personal honour and gift to felicitate this facility for our young people of the local area.

We are a not-for-profit organisation made up of cross community, multicultural individuals who are dedicated volunteers and parents. We are extremely passionate about the way our club makes significant changes to the young members' lives, through our culture and guidance.

Our club has produced British, Irish & International champions and we currently have 2 team GB wrestlers.

Our proudest achievement is that our club has helped young people who have lost their way, giving them direction, structure, hope & confidence.

The reality of being a member of the club is that you don’t have to compete, just take part, and become a part of a strong community.

We utilise our fabulous crossover club skills for other sports such as Rugby, Football, Gaelic soccer to name a few.

The Head coach of our club is the British Wrestling Association's Coach of the Year 2024, which is a fabulous accolade as it highlights his leadership and coaching skills. Bruce is also a great advocate for teaching the teacher.

The club also works closely with school programs to give local students a different sporting activity experience.

The club also encourages parents and volunteers to take up opportunities for coaching certification.

The club has achieved all of this with NO SPORT NI funding.

We are currently seeking corporate sponsors, either monthly or one-off contributions, to assist athletes who travel the country and world representing the club, our community & Northern Ireland.

I have been financially supporting our club over the past 11 years, however unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I am no longer able to support the club this way, any longer.

As a result of this situation, we are now facing losing our club facility, as we can no longer meet the overheads required to support the club and we now have to face facts, we must move out of our facility in Erne, Northern Ireland. This will have a significant impact on the members of the local community

We're looking for help to raise funds to support our facility and to bring the community back together.

This is made up of the following:

• £12,000 rent

• £5,000 towards the next 12 months rent

• £3,000 towards the development of a training App to provide a future income stream to sustain the club’s future.
