Eric Schutz Sr.’s Funeral Expenses

On August 12, 2023, at 8 p.m., God called my dad home to heaven. He is at peace and no longer suffering.

The past almost two weeks has been so stressful to say the least. I can’t say thank you enough to all the people who have been here for me and my mom during this time.

For almost three years now my dad has been fighting this battle with cancer and it has never gotten easier. If anything it had gotten so much harder and it hurts to say I am just so glad he is no longer suffering the way he was the past two weeks, because it was brutal.

Hospice and the funeral home have been such a blessing and I could not have imagined how things would have been without them.

I really cannot say this enough but lord please show mercy to my mom. I really can’t express how selfless this woman has been through this entire process. Her and my dad had been together since she was damn near 21 years old. Thirty years. Thirty years she’s never been alone. I wish I could take away all of her pain, and replace it all with love.

Soon I will be posting a gofundme for the sole purpose of making things easier for my mom during these times. Between past medical bills, insurance, losing her job last year, not working for months during treatments, funeral costs, and even just normal bills, things may be very stressful financially for a while. Nothing is expected but I have had a few ask if there is any where they could make donations.

His obituary will be posted soon with more details on the services.

The wake will be Friday afternoon on the 18th.

The funeral the next day in the morning at 11 am. His services will be at St. Rose church.
