The Fight for Life
Donation protected
Ephraim is 37 years old husband, father, son, youth football coach, and mentor and has been waiting for a kidney transplant. He does dialysis daily and cannot miss a day. This is his survival. He desperately needs a new kidney!
He has been undergoing several laboratory test to identify any antibodies, meaning finding a matching donor would be uphill struggle. He may match only 3 out of every 10,000 people.
Funds are needed for:
Anyone willing to be in the swap program for Ephraim is a start. Being in the swap program allows a faster opportunity for a renewed life. He has had health evaluations and status updates continuously, paying for his own travel, lodging, and losing time off of work. He is waiting for some help from the National Living Donor Assistance Center, but it won't cover all of his out-of-pocket expenses.
Ephraim has insurance co-pays and deductible, and because of these treatments, before and after surgery He will have expenses to cover. He will also have anti-rejection drugs that are costly, and He will have to take them for the rest of his life. His insurance pays for any living donor's surgery, and Ephraim's too, and it isn't 100% covered.
Please consider a donation, even $5 will help. If you cannot donate please share this request!
Thank you from Ephraim and his family!
