This is Enid. She is a 14 week old Pittie puppy. At 9.5 weeks old, after a week of being in her new home, she was bitten by her new housemate, in the face. Finances were tough for the family as facial surgery for the broken facial bones and damaged palate were recommended in addition to a feeding tube. Enid was surrendered to the clinic that she was being cared for.

Jess and her beautiful family took her in immediately in her time of need. After 4 weeks of extremely diligent care and a feeding tube, the damage Enid has endured has not made enough progress where facial surgery can be avoided. Enid is looking at having to have the damaged portion of her upper jaw surgically removed to give her the best chance at a normal life.

This sweet little baby has not been able to play or be vaccinated like a normal puppy. She’s unable to eat anything (although she licks everything while she’s getting tube fed) as it could cause severe complications to her current issue. She’s battled several infections, as can happen in her situation. She hasn’t been able to run and play like she wants and gets medications to keep her calm so she doesn’t overdo it.

Jess and her family are just trying to get her to the other side of this so she can have a somewhat normal life.
