Enable Homeless Frank to Return to Work

There's a homeless guy named Frank who often sleeps near my place (e.g., at bus stops); and I've been privileged to get to know him over the last few weeks.  He's got a history of good, hard work as a carpet, grout, and duct cleaning professional with a specialization in water damage restoration.  (He showed me one of his old business cards.)  He's been out of work during the pandemic, lost his truck, and has used up all his money.  Now he has a job offer in his old field -- but it requires him to have a truck to cart around the requisite equipment.  He's found just the vehicle he needs for only $2k, but he has no way to buy it.  The pay in the new job would enable him to pay the $2k in a couple months, but neither the potential new employer nor the truck seller would advance him the money.  As I've come to think of Frank as a stand-up, diligent, good guy (you could meet him!) I would lend him the money, but I just don't have it (yet).  We've already raised $1k of the $2k, thanks be to God, and so we only need $1k to finish!
