In September 2019, a heart-wrenching incident occurred when Abdul Kader Mounajed, aged 23 and an aspiring professional electrician, lost his life in a tragic car accident. As he journeyed home after completing his Friday prayer in Roxburgh Park (Melb, Aust), his vehicle veered out of control, colliding with a tree. This abrupt loss left a void in the lives of those who knew him - his family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Touched deeply by the tragedy, Samir Mounajed, the grieving father of the deceased, reached out to Sh. Ramy, founder of Humanitarian Hearts. United in purpose, they collaborated with the Rogers Foundation to organise a charity boxing event that would honour the memory of the late Abdul Kader Samir Mounajed to raise some initial funds that will go towards a perpetual charity cause.

With shared determination, Rogers Foundation and Humanitarian Hearts Inc. orchestrated an impactful call to action, aimed at establishing a perpetual charity. All donations contributed in memory of Abdul Kader would be dedicated to this noble cause. Through the combined efforts of the Rogers Foundation, Humanitarian Hearts, and Mr. Samir Mounajed, funds were raised not only during the event but also through the generosity of individuals, families, friends, and colleagues in the aftermath.

Amidst the backdrop of COVID-19's challenges, Sh. Ramy Najmeddine's vast connections in Indonesia remained steadfast. Months turned into years, but eventually, a glimmer of hope emerged as things began gearing up to address finding a beneficial cause.

After a diligent search, a beacon of goodness was discovered in the form of Ustad Zaid, a close friend of Sh. Ramy in Indonesia. Ustad Zaid's mission to establish a second branch of a Quran tahfiz boarding school for orphan girls resonated deeply. The plans to expand the initial school, including building additional facilities, persevered despite the pandemic's disruptions. The Nurul Quran Tahfiz School in Cibadak Sukabumi emerged as a promising partner, as Humanitarian Hearts Inc. joined forces to realise this meaningful project to the operational stage.

With renovations, furnishing, and preparations completed, a significant milestone was reached - the official opening of the school was made for Wednesday 24th August 2023. The event was attended by Humanitarian Hearts founder Sh Ramy Najmeddine along with the Mounajed family, school management Ustad Zaid and his partner including the town representative chief/mayor as we all worked together in the initial establishment of this beneficial institution. The school is poised to accommodate and educate 50 orphan girls in Arabic language and Quran memorisation and to stand as a testament to collective determination and compassion.

However, the journey is far from over, yes we have reached operational stage thanks to the initial donations that got us this far but there are still is a few things to tick off on the list for the site that will be the cherry on top and an opportunity for all brothers and sisters around the world to collectively share in the reward of this last lap to the finish inshaAllah.

The school continues to require ongoing support for crucial endeavours, including establishing an onsite masjid, creating pathways, enhancing landscaping, providing annual Qurban for the girls, and addressing the monthly needs of the students.

Your donations will go towards the goal of covering costs required to start and complete this Masjid on the school grounds. It will be used for all 5 daily prayers by the girls, and open for daily prayers by the locals living around the school as a place of prayer to gain reward being also a service to the local community.

I do hope we can make this happen and blow the goal out of the water to even cover the remaining needs inshaAllah. Once goal is achieved I will be documenting all the construction of this masjid, and fly to indonesia personally as i have done recently to attend an opening and film the whole thing as a testament of collective work and support from all brothers and sisters around the world, whether you are YouTube personalities, business people or just someone who wants to stand with this cause.
