Emma Broussard - Daughter of Gordy and Cynthia Broussard of Kaplan was involved in an accident involving a side by side (UTV). She was ejected from the side by side then pinned benith it and Emma's spine was injured during the accident. She went through surgery in Lafayette to stabalize her spine and has since been moved to Houston for rehabilitation.  She is a beautiful stong young lady with endless hobbies and accomplishments........... a few include: 4.0 sophomore at Kaplan High, Vermilion Parish's Outstanding 4-H girl - through her endless participation through 4-H as well as showing livestock (horses and brahams), 3rd baseman on her softball team, cheerleader, tumbler and Beta club.
     She has had endless support from her family (including her older brother John Gordy and little sister Claire) and friends and is on her way to recovery.
