Emerson's fight against lymphoma

On October 26, our world stood still. A CT scan showed a tumor in Emerson's chest. After a week in the hospital and more testing, we learned that our Emerson has T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. Tests showed it was caught before Stage 4. Because of the location and size of the tumor, they can't remove it yet. Emerson will have to undergo aggressive chemotherapy and possible surgery.

Emerson is a lively 6-year-old boy who loves people and playing with his older sister and younger brother. For almost a year though, we searched for answers and tried to get him help as his health declined. We are so thankful for the medical professionals we finally found and for his parents not giving up through the misdiagnosis and when doctors said it was all in Emerson's head. Especially his mom, Courtney, who used her intuition and never backed down even when doctors said she should accept the situation.

Many people have asked how they can support Emerson and his family. Courtney and David work full-time and will now dedicate their attention to getting him well. They have already received money and gifts and were donated PTO from their co-workers. The family set up this GoFundMe page to help facilitate any donations you may want to give. People have been so generous already. We genuinely thank you for every bit of support and prayers for Emerson and our family.
