I am Amr Alrabai, a medical laboratory specialist. Currently, I reside in Gaza with my parents and siblings, facing insurmountable danger.

I was working at Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital when it was bombed without warning. Nearly 500 people were killed, and over 400 were wounded, including myself, as the blast occurred near my department.

The bombing of the hospital where I worked and my subsequent injury left me unable to continue working.

After losing my job, the situation worsened as my home was also bombed, forcing my family and me to flee several times for safety. This has been incredibly difficult.

Every day, the situation becomes increasingly grave and dangerous.

Though I may have lost everything I had built in my life—my job, my home, and my car—I still hold onto hope. I cannot imagine remaining homeless. I am determined to rebuild a shelter and swiftly recover mentally and physically from my experiences to continue aiding the patients in Gaza.
