Emergency Medical Fund for Mark Roy

Hello family and friends,

Many of you know that my Dad (Mark) went to the hospital last month for emergency abdominal surgery- as a result, he had to have part of his colon removed and now has a temporary colostomy. Mark has worked for over 15 years as a cook for a retirement community in Orono. Unfortunately, due to his recent illness, he cannot return to work for another month, perhaps until his second surgery in October. We have secured FMLA for him to keep his job which he loves, but they do not provide paid FMLA. Mark has used all his sick time and PTO due to this emergency illness. He will be unpaid to continue recovering before his subsequent surgery, so we are asking for your help now. If there is anything you can give to help with groceries, medical bills, and everyday bills, we would appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Also asking for lots of prayers and support that he continues to heal and the second surgery goes well!
