Last night (9/28/2018) I noticed my ferret, Ghost, acting strange and seeming to be in pain. She started having seizures, had abdominal pain, and seemed disoriented. I rushed her to the only emergency vet in the area that is able to treat ferrets, but unfortunately the cause of her seizures wasn't immediately clear.
I ended up having to leave her with the vet overnight so she could receive IV fluids and get more diagnostic tests, incurring massive costs that I am barely able to support. As it is, this event will be draining all of my savings.
I've had my Ghost for 2 years, since she was a tiny baby, and she is my life. I love her so much it feels like my heart might burst. She is so smart, sweet, and loving, and I cannot bear to lose her. If I can't afford her medical costs I will have to say goodbye. She's only 2 years old, she deserves so much more life.
I'm struggling with the decision to launch this GoFundMe, but I am so desperate to save my baby. Any help at all is appreciated.
