Embers Woodcraft: From Healing to Hope — All the Way to Africa

This January 2026, Embers Woodcraft is proud to support two of our members, both on their own journeys through mental health recovery, as they take part in something truly life-changing — a mission to Kenya with Animals Saving Animals .

They’ll be assisting with the training of anti-poaching rangers and tracker dogs, working alongside the legendary Daryl Pleasence, whose team helps protect endangered species like the black rhino — now worth over £1 million per horn on the black market.

This trip is a powerful step forward in our members' personal growth, confidence, and connection to something greater than themselves.

We’re grateful to Animals Saving Animals for providing a generous discount, and Embers is contributing further to make this possible. A smaller portion is being self-funded by the two members, giving them a sense of pride and ownership in the experience.

We’ll also be sending out vital training gear to support this important conservation work.
