Help First African American to Take on Grand Slam Quest

Hey there! I'm Manika, gearing up to be the first African American woman to conquer all 4 deserts in the Racing the Planet series . The 4 deserts include Namib, Gobi , Atacama, and Antarctica. These 155-mile, 7 day, self supported stage races – present an awe inspiring challenge that I aspire to motivate, challenge, and show that all things are possible!

My first desert achievement in Namibia was so special and I bonded with the locals and have promised to use my platform to aid in supporting the Helping Hands Sandwich Tours program. A portion of the proceeds will go towards this initiative and helping feed thousands of children who deeply need our support.

This athletic endeavor comes at a hefty cost, blocking many from participating. Your support will help cover race fees, travel, accommodations, gear, and nutrition.
